Important Hotel Information
We’re very proud of the hotel & it’s a great honour to be the current custodians of this wonderful old building – which has been a popular spot for visitors for two hundred years. That said, as with any rural, historic building, it does create some restrictions & we want to make sure you’re as prepared as possible for your visit to us, so here are a few extra things to bear in mind before you book your trip…
Mobile phone signal in this part of the world is terrible! We’re hoping in due course this will be improved (which is out of our hands) but in the meantime all rooms are equipped with telephones so you’re not completely cut off. We have found most people actually enjoy being a little harder than usual to get hold of…
Due to our rural location, we have limited internet bandwidth, meaning that our WIFI is very limited. As a large number of guests need to share this limited resource, we can only offer WIFI in our communal lounge & reception areas, at present. We hope this presents you with a chance to ditch your mobile for a bit & enjoy the company of those you’re visiting with.
We don’t have a lift, so if you’re slightly older, or slightly weaker than the last time you overpacked for a couple of nights in Wales, you can grab a member of staff who will take your bags to your room.
Local taxis services can get very busy at peak times – if you’re planning a trip & are going to need a taxi, try & book it in advance!
